Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, recording transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitoring day-to-day accounting activities.
· Bank reconciliation.
· Debtors and creditors reconciliation.
· Monitoring and following up for timely payment receipts from debtors.
· Monitoring and making timely payments to creditors.
· Working on GST, TDS etc. and following up with consultants for return filing.
· Making purchase entries of the goods purchased.
· Responding to customers' queries related to accounting.
· Coordinating with internal and external auditors and resolving queries.
· Assisting in the finalization of accounts.
· Ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other regulatory requirements.
· Managing relationships with vendors and clients to ensure smooth financial operations.
· Liaising with government authorities for various financial and compliance-related matters.
· Identify and implement process improvements and develop better accounting SOPs.
· Prepare and submit regular reports on accounting activities and performance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience in accounting or finance roles. Minimum of 3 years of recent experience.
· Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, procedures and local compliance requirements.
· Proficiency in working on the Govt. Portals such as GST, Maha-VAT, Income Tax, E-Way Bill, E-Invoice, ESIC, PF activity related web-sites.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and accounting software like Tally, Spectrum etc.
· Proficiency in Spectrum Business Management software, with recent experience using it, is a plus.
· Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Location:
· Currently Nr. Vile Parle East Station, Mumbai
· Soon shifting to the new office Near WEH Metro station in Andheri East, Mumbai
